Private GP
St Erme Medical is an independent sector General Practice led by Dr Sarah Gray. She has provided General Practice with specialist advice in women’s health for over 30 years, seeing patients privately since 2000. She now leads a team of doctors who work to the same high standard and are supported by a healthcare assistant and the administration team.
What Makes Us Different?
We provide a traditional, experienced and evidence-based approach.
Care that is Individualised
We try to understand you as a person along with your medical and other background issues and help you to find a solution that works for you.
Evidence Based Medicine
We are up to date and understand what the research and guidelines say. We use these as a basis for our suggestions for management but are careful to consider how they apply to you.
Expert Medical Team
Every member of the clinical team has many years of experience and can bring this to your consultation.
Continuity of Care
We try as far as is possible to ensure that you see or are replied to by the same clinician every time.
What GP services can we offer?
Explore our range of GP services from general appointments to health reviews.
General Health Problems
Typically 30 minute consultation to address a single problem, longer if complex.
Health Reviews
These are offered as a pair of appointments for an initial assessment and then follow up with advice.
Blood Tests
Blood tests can be done during an appointment or booked separately with a healthcare assistant.
ECG's
We can take a standard resting 12-lead ECG and, if concerned or unsure about its interpretation, ask a cardiologist to look at it – a fee will apply for this.
Nursing Services
Practice based nursing services including postoperative wound care, dressing changes and injections.
Vaccinations
We can offer immunisation for Chicken Pox, Shingles, Hepatitis B, HPV and RSV.
What can we help with?
We can help with a great variety of issues. We will tell you if we are acting as an experienced GP or whether this is a more specialist service.
We have some experience with non-binary and transgender people but will not initiate hormone modification programmes. We cannot offer appointments during pregnancy for pregnancy related conditions. We do not offer home visits.
What to Expect
St Erme Medical supplements the services provided by the NHS providing time with experienced doctors, continuity of care and management options that are evidence based and supported by guidance. As leaders in our field we can offer advice to all women, even those with highly complex histories.
Those patients who see us in person will be able to park and consult in an environment that is relaxed and welcoming.
1. Contact Us
Whether you contact us by telephone, email or via the website you will be asked to provide an outline of the service you are looking for so that we understand where, how and who we can offer you.
2. Questionnaire
You will be asked to fill in a medical information questionnaire to brief the doctor and allow you to focus on assessing your current situation during the consultation.
3. Confirmation
You will be sent confirmation of your appointment and a reminder the day before. We will invoice and expect payment in advance of the consultation.
Enquire Now
Do not suffer in silence – do something about that health problem that has been niggling for a while. Take stock of your health and look at what you can do to improve things now and reduce risks for the future. Do not assume that because you have a long term health issue that nothing can be done to help other problems that are affecting how you feel and what you can do.
Experienced GP's
Our GPs are fully qualified and all have years of experience. Medicine covers many areas, and no one can know everything. There are unknowns and gaps in the data. We will tell you when we cannot answer a question.
We then talk together as expertise is shared within the team and will research issues that we are less sure of.
