About St Erme Medical
St Erme Medical is a private General Practice led by Dr Sarah Gray. She has provided General Practice with specialist advice in women’s health for over 30 years, seeing patients privately since 2000. She now leads a team of doctors who work together to the same high standard. They are supported by nurses and their administration team.
The practice is based in an attractive surgery building. It has won an award from the Cornwall Buildings Group in recognition of its sympathetic renovation from a listed agricultural building to a modern healthcare facility.
Who are St Erme Medical?
St Erme Medical is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as a General Practice providing care to all age groups. Our team of very experienced GPs will listen and help you to deal with a very wide range of health issues including men’s, children’s and occupational health. We allow enough time for you to tell us your concerns and will help you to make a decision that is right for you. We provide health reviews and medicals for a variety of purposes. Blood, urine testing and ECGs are available on site. We refer on to specialists and other services when appropriate but can only do so privately. We do not offer emergency or out of hours care, maternity services or home visits.
Women's Health Care Specialists
In addition, we provide women’s healthcare services at a specialist level. While best known for menopause we cover the range of problems that may occur throughout life. We are registered for family planning services and can help you with all types of sexual health issues. Our team are national leaders in the field of women’s health and particularly menopause, providing education and training to other healthcare professionals.
We offer time that is not often available in NHS settings, experience and an extended opportunity to discuss your concerns. The opinion provided is that of the doctor you see but we work closely together and take a team approach. We do not ask the NHS to act on our recommendations, though this may happen.
Our Medical Values
In both Women’s Health and General Practice, we stay current with the latest advancements. Within the realm of women’s health, we contribute to the formation of national and international guidance. Our treatments are grounded in evidence-based practices. Recognizing the diversity of individuals and the population-based nature of evidence, we offer patients personalized evaluations of how medical knowledge pertains to their specific circumstances.
We engage patients in discussions about available options, empowering them to make informed decisions tailored to their unique needs. Additionally, we actively educate and train fellow healthcare professionals to adopt this patient-centered approach.
