Terms & Conditions
This information is required by CMA (Competition Marketing Authority Order 2014)
Fees
We charge the same fee for a booked consultation whether by telephone, video or face to face. We will invoice in advance and ask that you pay before the consultation.
Our fee for a one hour initial consultation will not exceed £325. Our usual fee for a standard 30 min follow-up consultation will not exceed £165. If a longer follow up appointment is requested this would incur a higher fee.
Should you cancel your appointment with less than one working days’ notice, a cancellation fee of £50 (initial consultation) and £30 (standard follow-up consultation) may be charged.
Our consultation fee covers your consultation, our subsequent letter/report and administration costs. Any further advice or work in addition to the consultation will be charged on a time basis of £200/hour pro rata. This will include but is not limited to answering email and phone messages and letters to other bodies. Repeat prescriptions are charged at £26.
Arising from your consultation, you may need certain tests (such as blood or urine tests or an ultrasound scan) to help us investigate your condition. If the test is undertaken by a hospital the fees for those tests will be determined by the hospital and charged to you, or your private medical insurer, separately. If there are any fees which we will charge in relation to these tests, we will tell you what those will be.
Private Medical Insurance
If you have private medical insurance, please contact your insurer before your consultation, to check the terms of your policy, particularly the level and type of outpatient cover you have, including any reimbursement limits on individual consultation fees.
Please note that the services provided by St Erme Medical are rarely covered by private medical insurance. You are responsible for any fees not covered by your insurer.
Financial Interests
We are legally obliged to tell you if we have any financial interests in the Nuffield Hospital or any equipment there. We can confirm we do not have any such financial interests.
We wholly own the St Erme Medical building and its contents.
Quality Information
You can compare independent information about the quality of private treatment offered at hospitals and other specialist private healthcare providers at the Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) website: www.phin.org.uk
This covers specialist care and not General Practice.
